Kaspar- Kara's partner, spends a significant portion of his time looking for a small, grey car on the motorway, convinced that if he can make it crash it will contain the ultimate road kill. Friends with Kolin, who he misses terribly when he is away.
Kara- If someone is in charge, Kara is. Aggressive, self- assured and in a state of constant exasperation with the rest of her community. Daughter of Kafka. Kaspar and Kara have had chicks, but they have long moved out of the area.
Kjell- A Swedish kite, who loved Kolin from afar for some time. Kjell is clever, and in touch with his creative and caring instincts.
Kolin- Not the brightest of the community. Kolin was the much-pecked partner of Kandy and probably the father of her chicks. He keeps Kaspar from becoming too morose. Often the bringer of new trends into the community.
Kandy - Partner of Kolin and mother to Famous Olympic Breakfast, Sundae Breakfast and Omelette Breakfast. A high maintenance kite, and very demanding of her nearest and dearest.
Khlaudia - Widow of Kelvin and mother of Kant, Klimt and Potassia. A bit of a femme fatale, she is on the look out for a replacement father for her chicks. Prone to anxiety at times.
Kelvin- Father of Kant, Klimt and Potassia, husband of Khlaudia; a very intelligent kite. Lost in the bad winter of 2010/11.
Kant - Chick of Khlaudia and Kelvin, abducted into the cult of the Cone Father.
Klimt - Chick of Khlaudia and Kelvin
Potassia - Chick of Khlaudia and Kelvin, speaks in Greek some of the time.
Kafka - Enigmatic father of Kara. Contacted via traffic cameras over which he has control. Knows most things.
Brother Cone - Diligent devotee of the Cone Father.
Kai the Swoop- A surfing kite from Wales
Kei the Surf- A surfing kite from Wales
Kevin - A very proper and polite kite. The source of much interest from Khlaudia.
The Cone Father -The subject of a cult, worship is in the form of arranging cones in lines and patterns. Little is known of the Cone Father.
